you seem stable as the ground beneath our feet. I pray you remain and you and yours in good health and well being. I formally apologize for any misdeeds of my country and hope we will do better as time progresses. The judgment of man is inaccurate and self-centered. The result of generations of disobedience to God. Be well

Thank You Rodney. Amen to your prayers. Yes, being judgmental is the root cause to chaos. Apologies accepted. There is only so much individuals in any society can do to bring about a significant difference. Its those who have the authority that truly need guidance from God. Lets all hope and pray things get better with every change emanating in our societies.

Dead on Dina... I think our imaginations are still so restricted by our teachings of limits too. Once we allow our limitations to be lifted the imagination will be boundless and our capabilities will truly be limitless as well.....

July 30, 2009 at 2:18 AM

Shivonne- Agreed. I believe the spectrum of one's imagination is mostly limited by convention, traditions and culture. Its a sad reality. As much as part of the world is trying to converse its heritage, ironically this is partly the reason reigning many individuals from exploring their maximum potentials. BREAK Out of the bubble of convention and express your genuine desires to your herd. Chances are high they would reject extra ordinary innovations that would make you stand out from mediocrity and the norms.

How it happens is truly simple I have found Dina...when a situation comes into your reference point and you ponder whether you have the abilities to undertake that situation...simply do it any way..One step at a time your extraordinary self is revealed

July 30, 2009 at 1:05 PM

Tetka- I believe the FIRST step to the extraordinary is to BELIEVE in our potentials. Beyond that ALL else isn't as hard as warned or anticipated.

Yes Dina, It's all about believing .Believe is creator of history. It's the most powerful directing force human beings. Belief doesn't require something to be true it only requires us to believe that it is true. What we believe about ourselves affects what we do..

July 30, 2009 at 1:07 PM

Mohamed- Agreed. Yes, belief in Self in the MOST important belief of all. When we begin to respect ourselves- mind, body and soul we begin to see life via a whole new dimension. Its inexplicably liberating. having this in mind I believe adults should keep telling children they could be ANYTHING they want to be, achieve ANY heights in life- cos the truth is you can, they can, we can!

I'm with Tetka coz I've been there! a situation where i was sure that i couldn't make it, it was beyond my abilities and capabilities, just couldn't do it, but i forced myself in anyways, and as i took the first step and finished it successfully, i gained confidence and with each step, more confidence flowed into my soul and i started to dare anyone who'd imply that i couldn't make it till the end; AND I DID IT :)

July 30, 2009 at 1:20 PM

Mai- Anything attainable is desirable and achievable. Its unbelievable how more people tell us what we can't and shouldn't do in life than those things we CAN and should. All our life we may have been over-protected all in the name of "caring". In reality how far has this advanced our growth? How far has all the over-protection limited our exploration to discovering our potentials and passions? Didn't Beethoven create the Symphony? Don't Dyslexics write books?

I agree Dina, & the point you make about making children 'aware' is such an important one. :)

July 30, 2009 at 1:28 PM

Lena- Thank You. Yes, The fact of the matter is, just like other species parents are God's gifts to protect children- up to the point they leave the nest. Beyond that its their responsibility as a whole and God has given the ability to take care of ourselves-to those physiologically functional. Why are some parents under-estimating their own progeny? Don't they believe their own pedigree could be GREATER than themselves? I believe the hidden root cause is the very fact they don't have faith in themselves and it reflects as a lack of faith in that which they brought to this world.
