"Too often we are afraid to unravel the unpredictable possibilities of our potentials as we stagnate in the comfort zones of our familiar past. Nobody can create the intentions for you to grow, refine and evolve except your Higher Self, which is often in hibernation. Wake up for the Love of God and the evolution of our Universal family."

"Challenges, hardships and pain are like diverse knots intricately designed in unique designs. We discover them in various forms the further we evolve and grow along our chosen odyssey. Ignoring them cannot dissolve them for they can only be solved by our core. Smile inside out as you unravel their mysteries with patience and love; for within them lie beautiful knowledge and precious irreplaceable wisdom as they would guide you as we embrace every step with maturity and belief in God, who awakens our intuitions as they pave our path towards serenity and peace."

I am Eastern as I'm painted with Asian bronze,
I am Western, as I sing the chorus of my beloved English,
I am a Soul with God’s Love as my compass,
I am a Being emanated from Our Kingdom with tangible Blood and Tears,
I am a Tree from the rain forests with senses hydrated by the raw rain,
I am an Eagle from the desert as the Sun warms on my face,
I am Me,
I am You.

Embrace winds playing with your eye lashes,
Allow wet leaves to paint inconspicuous colors into your bland skin,
Listen to hidden seeds and silent rocks narrating their epic stories,
Pay attention to ants of wisdom express their pragmatic plans for the season,
Let go and be still to Earth-scented rain washing away your hibernating guilt,
Hush when birds of flight whisper lullabies into your weary hearts,
Trot barefooted to feel the fertile soil nourish your starving souls,
Dance carefree eternally and smile from cradle to Home Oh Divine Spirits of our stage.

What if tell you there are priceless things you can afford to buy? Yes, even a homeless could have. The next opportunity you get to leave home, I request you to do yourself a favor that you undoubtedly deserve. I want you to focus DEEPLY on something you usually take for granted. It could be trees, flowers, the eyes of a cat you pass by, or simply the angel of breeze abundantly surrounding you. As you concentrate more and more deeper, you will begin to tantalize the music embedded within unexpected sources beating in unison to your pacemaker.
*At this point I literally stood up and walked outside my front gate*
I intend on sharing with you what I absorb during this mini trip. In order to prevent my visual ideas over-ride my other perceptions, I switched off the garden lights and stood in complete darkness (around 11 p.m last night!) only illuminated by moonlight. Ahhh! How breathtaking! The handsome moon poured its silky beams onto the majestic coconut palms while the smooth blades of grass frolicked in delight against my feet. I closed my eyes and felt the breeze tingle my face, only to be distracted by hyperactive mosquitoes singing against my ears and restless lizards creaking at a distance in phase with the leaves of all the trees in sight. As I opened my eyes I spot stress-free fireflies flying with overflowing liberty, with joy peace many of us could only wish for. The stars dazzled with pride as patriotic citizens of the Milky Way...
As you see, the moon, stars, breeze, warmth of sunlight, music of insects and designed flights of bees, all these priceless sources of tranquility are affordable even to the starving and homeless. As you choose to sip from these fountains of bliss, you will gradually quench the insatiable thirst for peace of mind until materialism with all its pressure would have no space on your list of requirements for true happiness.

As I was cleaning my room this evening, I discovered an old article I had written dated 21st-December-2006. Since most of you are acquainted with me today I thought it would be interesting to post the original...
Why do some people have a tendency to cluster themselves? Do we have to belong to some type of category by nature, behavior, outlook or limitation? Can't we simply be individuals whose life belong to themselves? Why do some people expect us to mold and play the rhythm and tunes of harps they have set in motion? Are we living on an invisible stage of pretense? Trying to be accepted by someone, are we losing our individuality? That unique spark of illumination lit by that flame within us? That special combination of your name and outlook that makes you- YOU.
Honestly I'm bewildered. Don't want to lose myself. Nearly 2 decades of my life's odyssey has passed by. Would I simply give it all up to be "accepted" by the "crowd" of those who may not reach as far as I would by myself alone? No! Its not worth doing this anymore. Honestly I'm not even going to try to put up with all the extra effort and perspiration to "fit in". I only got a couple of years before this phase would close up. Its more feasible to be enthusiastic about the future which is warming up.
Life is amazing! It takes us through a variety of channels, tunnels and caves. When its the end of one phase of life, should we feel awful its over? Or simply feel enthusiastic wondering what is life bringing next along this voyage? Its strange how we begin to cherish and get in the groove of certain segments only when its time to say goodbye.
We should be appreciative of everything at hand. After all nearly every situation anytime could have been worse, more uncomfortable, more boring and all-in-all could never have encountered us. I'd rather go through an unpredictable tunnel with it own mysterious silence and unexpected imagination than take a shortcut to the illumination that awaits me at the end of that journey. Life's way too short and segmented into various phases to keep pondering whether or not we should experience those moments adorned with arms wide open eager to be embraced. Very often, whilst we decide, these walk right pass us only leaving behind vacuums within us wondering "what if" I'd done that or gone there, regretting if ONLY I had grabbed that opportunity when it was knocking my heart to be held by my molars....
I'm relieved to be here as I recall the struggles and challenges through med school. As you see, it wasn't a bed of dew drop garnished rose petals. I hope you are striving for those elements your heart desires. Regardless what they may be, if you dream it, I bet you can achieve it!
It's better to be temporarily single than be permanently in Love with someone who neither appreciate nor deserve You!
After I updated the above on Twitter I received an unbelievable response, some also via email. As much as some agreed there were others who misunderstood the depth of the point. Hence, I decided to give you an explanation it deserves.
Please note- When I write, its neither based on movies nor on stories I was narrated. Instead it is constructed purely on my experiences and observations in my vicinity. In this case, I speak on behalf of those individuals, mostly females, who are suffering in silence. Not necessarily abused physically; Rather on behalf of those who portray a pretty rosy serene picture to the world outside their reality.
There are too many women who sacrifice their happiness on behalf of their parents, husband and finally children. Its an unbelievable vicious cycle that only stops as she departs this world. A permanent life long sacrifice all in the name of Love? It simply can't be fair. It only leaves me baffled with the reality hidden behind that meticulously attempted smile they wear to their conventional society. What's even more alarming is the magnitude of hope these women have in store. They feel its one step forward to wait, not to realize it recoils two steps behind. They believe someday they may be appreciated for all their patience. Patience till WHEN? is my question.
I believe there comes a point, when you don't deserve any more mental agony, any more emotion handicap, when you should become more pragmatic and stop day dreaming of that day which has taken way too long already to arise. It may simply be that tone which cannot be molded to a more respectable version. When You are being mistreated over and over again- It simply SHOULD change. There are more women than you can ever imagine who live in a fantasy that someday life may evolve drastically for the better. Changes in personality requires time and effort. It never happens overnight in real world. You try your utmost to grow together until you deplete your strength. Beyond that it's simply futile. Like I mentioned in Post 43 ~ Love is an essential entity everyone needs till their last breathe, despite some too victimized via bitter experiences to admit this.
So let us hope that everyone would be true to their hearts and seek that which they deserve!
If you don't find happiness despite Success, You still haven't found your passion. When your passion and career fuse, You have found Earth's Heaven.
The greatest tranquility of your heart is found when you discover the oasis of peace within your soul.
I'd rather empathize than dissect,
I'd rather listen than prescribe,
I'd rather paint than dictate,
I'd rather run to the cripple than watch him crawl for help,
I'd rather superficially observe than make one deep incision,
I'd rather be mediocre at things I cherish than be a perfectionist at things that bore me,

Worthy Quotes
"We begin life with the world presenting itself to us as it is. Someone - our parents, teachers, analysts - hypnotizes us to "see" the world and construe it in the "right" way. These others label the world, attach names and give voices to the beings and events in it, so that thereafter, we cannot read the world in any other language or hear it saying other things to us. The task is to break the hypnotic spell, so that we become undeaf, unblind and multilingual, thereby letting the world speak to us in new voices and write all its possible meanings in the new book of our existence. Be careful in your choice of hypnotists."

About Dr. Dheena Sadik
A multilingual medical doctor turned creative writer and motivational coach. A whimsical maverick who embraces Unity in rainbow shades of diversity.
Born and raised in Sri Lanka, the Universe swept me away to a historic city in the heart of Asia for my medical studies. This metamorphic half decade molded me in challenging ways beyond my imagination as I arrived in Nawabshah, a medieval city in the heart of Sind province of Pakistan, that ideally fits the description of the Arabian Nights tales.
Eventually, I realized my true calling is to heal beings via the elixir of writing rather than synthetic drugs. Hence, I now embark on an unpredictable journey as I travel to pursue my dream.
With patience and perseverance, I continue to remain steadfast in following my passion guided by intuition.
Through writing, I look forward to sharing my Chosen Odyssey with you.
